CHOOSING
A PLASTIC SURGEON
Doctor Castillo Yermenos recognizes there are many decisions to be taken when considering going under the knife and how these may seem overwhelming at first. Most people spend a lot of time thinking about procedures and their possible results, but perhaps the most important decision to make is choosing the right plastic surgeon. Not every physician or surgeon is qualified or has the experience needed in order to perform any procedure.
Choosing the right surgeon isn’t as simple as getting a referral. Personal referrals and web research may be the building blocks for making the decision, but it should always be taken into account that a plastic surgery causes a change in a person’s life, besides the change in their appearance. Ideally, this change is positive and has favorable effects on self-esteem, social relationships and overall performance.
Taking all this into consideration, and knowing that beyond the modification in appearance, it is necessary to maintain one’s health and integrity, it is incredibly important to carefully evaluate the surgeon before making the decision. The surgeon shouldn’t just be “good”; he should be an expert. Ideally, he should be a professional who received his formation in distinguished institutions.
Doctor Castillo Yermenos graduated as a Medical Doctor from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic en 2010. Later, he got his Master degree in General and Laparoscopic Surgery in the Metropolitan Hospital of Santiago and then studied Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Jalisciense Institute of Reconstructive Surgery “Dr. José Guerrerosanto”. These academic achievements, on top of the almost 10 years he has been working in the surgical field, and the 4 years he spent training as a Plastic Surgeon give him a high level of safety and reliability.
